## Results in JSON

The same files that feed the map, updated every few seconds during the count. Votes are indexed by the candidate's number on the ballot. Full description in OpenAPI 3.1: https://eleicoes2026brasil.com/openapi.json.

During the count, the /feed/ addresses may respond with a redirect (302) to the same live file: follow the redirect (with curl, use -L). The files are meant for servers, scripts and agents; pages on other sites cannot read them from the browser.

## The presidential final count in CSV

The final count of both presidential rounds, read once the last section was counted, in CSV files for spreadsheets, R, Python and GIS: comma-separated, UTF-8, with one header row. They hold counts only (every share can be recomputed), and each municipality carries its IBGE code, to join with the Census and other data. In Excel, open them through Data › Get Data › From Text/CSV.

1st-round columns start with t1_, runoff columns with t2_ and the 2022 election's with r22_ (r22_t1_ and r22_t2_). In each round: secoes (sections), eleitorado (registered voters), comparecimento (turnout), abstencao (abstention), brancos (blank), nulos (null), votos_validos (valid votes) and one column of votes per candidate, with the ballot number and the name (t2_votos_13_lula). Abstention is the TSE's; turnout plus abstention is the base of the abstention rate.

Boa Esperança do Norte (MT), installed in 2025, has no 1st-round file of its own: its figures are its state's total minus the other municipalities (column t1_derivado = 1). The analyses made from these files are at https://eleicoes2026brasil.com/en/analise.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the data free?

Yes. The JSON files, the Markdown pages, the MCP server and the A2A agent are public, free and require no registration or access key.

### How often is the data updated?

During the count, the totals are updated every few seconds, as soon as the TSE publishes new polling stations. Each file shows the time it was generated.

### How do I ask ChatGPT or Claude about the election using this data?

Add the MCP server https://eleicoes2026brasil.com/mcp to your client (in Claude, under Connectors; in Claude Code, with claude mcp add). Then just ask, for example: "who won the governor's race in Minas Gerais?".

### How do I find a municipality's IBGE code?

Each state's page lists all its municipalities with a link to each, and the address of a municipality's page ends in its IBGE code (for example, https://eleicoes2026brasil.com/presidente/sp/3550308 is São Paulo). The search_places tool of the MCP server also returns the code.
